Chrysler may sell Viper unit

Chrysler LLC said today it was considering a sale of its Dodge Viper business and has hired financial consultant Lazard to advise it.The possible sale of the iconic two-seat 600-horsepower sports car follows the announcement earlier this year by General Motors Corp. that it was considering a sale of its Hummer brand.

The Manfeild Park New Zealand is to under go a NZ$10-12 million redevelopment programme that includes the building of facilities for training young drivers.The programme, which is expected to take ten years to complete will see the refurbishment of the current 3.03km road circuit, the building of a "roadscape" complete with skid pad suitable for training young and novice drivers at road speed and the building a permanent all-terrain facility for off-road vehicle driver training, vehicle demonstrations and testing.

The British International Motor Show, held in July at ExCeL, featured around 60 new UK vehicle debuts including concept cars, a number of 'green' launches, a host of electric vehicles and two hydrogen cars which have gone into production. MANAGING EDITOR ROGER HART: I was surprised at how much I liked this little Land Rover. It has a clean design inside and out, and the driving experience was quite nice. The seats are comfortable, and even with most of the roof taken up by glass, the A/C kept the cabin really cool.
